We’re recruiting for an AV Technician/Rental Manager for our hire centre in Roermond.
Since 2003, Press Red Rentals have been providing rental services to the trade show and conference market. We’ve been renting audio-visual, computer, lighting, sound and video equipment to booth builders, marketing agencies and production companies from around the world for events across Europe.
In 2016 as preparation for the UK no longer being members of the European Union, we established a small rental operation in Herten on the outskirts of Roermond in Limburg, the Netherlands. Situated on the border with Germany, we are ideally placed to service customer requirements in the major cities of Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne and Dusseldorf, and further afield in mainland Europe.
In March 2020, at the start of the global Covid-19 pandemic, we suspended our operations in Herten. Now, nearly two years later we are now able to start planning to re-open our Dutch operations.
We currently have a vacancy for someone who has the all-round skills to develop our business in Herten. Someone who can install equipment on trade show booths and in conference centres, but when they’re not doing that is just as capable of talking to customers and developing new business and preparing equipment to go out on jobs.
The key aspects of the role we are advertising are this:
- The day to day running of the operations of an Audio-Visual equipment rental centre
- Installing and de-rigging equipment on-site at exhibition and conference centres
- Providing technical support to customers and operating equipment where required
- Developing the business through building relationships with new and existing clients.
We’re looking for a team player, an enthusiastic person. Perhaps you’re presently a working in the AV industry and looking for a change. You might be someone who’s had a business that has sadly succumbed to the pandemic, or who’s thought about starting their own business but not had the resources to do so.
You will need to have a driving licence for at least a van up to 3.5t, and the ability to drive larger vehicles would be an advantage. You’ll also need to have a valid passport and be fluent in English. Most importantly, you’ll need to be either a citizen of an EU country or have the relevant permissions to live and work in the Netherlands and live within a commutable distance of Roermond.
Working in the business events industry isn’t a standard 9 to 5 existence, evening work and weekend work will be required, but we offer flexible working and overtime to compensate.
The successful candidate will get out of this job what they put in. We are a small team, but we like to reward success. We will offer a competitive base salary and the usual holiday benefits but will also offer bonus payments and profit share based upon performance.
If you’re interested in this position, please send your CV to email@example.com The closing date for applications is Monday January 31st, 2022. First interviews will take place via video calls with any follow ups taking place in-person in Herten.
We look forward to hearing from you.
