The Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer is a 16-channel digital mixer with wi-fi control.
Unlike other mixers in its field, the Ui16 is controllable from a web browser rather than a dedicated app. This makes the Ui16 truly cross-platform running on iOS, Android, Windows or Linux operating systems.
The Ui16 has eight XLR combo mic/line inputs and four XLR mic inputs. All have phantom power and fully recallable remote-controlled microphone gain. There are also two high-impedance instrument inputs and a stereo line input on phono connectors. A two-channel USB media player is also included, for playing MP3, WAV or AIFF format files. A two-channel USB record direct to memory facility is also available.
For outputs, the Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer has balanced stereo master outputs on both XLR and jack connections, with left and right level controls. Connections for two pairs of headphones are provided with a volume control. Finally, there are four auxiliary outputs on balanced XLR.
Connection to up to ten simultaneously-connected external control devices is via Wi-Fi or a standard RJ-45 network connector.
Each input channel has a 4-channel parametric equaliser, hi-pass filter, compressor, de-esser and noise gate.
Each output has a 31-band graphic equaliser, noise gate and compressor.
The Soundcraft Ui16 Digital Mixer also features three dedicated Lexicon effects processors: Reverb, Delay and Chorus. In addition, mixer controls include subgroups, mute groups and view groups, amongst others.
The Ui16 features full show/snapshot recallability with channel recall safes. This feature is ideal for use on a multi-date production, for example. Security lockout features allow access to specific functions and mixes where needed.
