As an event AV specialist, we’ve once again been providing audio-visual equipment and technical support for the Starkey booth at the 65th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians, EUHA, at Deutsche Messe Hanover, 15-17 September 2021, the first significant overseas work in 14 months for the Telford based company.

Our experience of working in Europe, post-pandemic and post-Brexit has been fairly straightforward. The carnet system has now been extended to all of mainland Europe, and not just Switzerland now that the UK has left the EU. The system has proven to be perfectly serviceable, and we were able to apply online with a detailed list of kit details, weight, value, origin and so on, and get our carnets through the post a day or two later.

We’ve worked with our client on EUHA for nine years, and have built up an excellent partnership, providing AV services for the show and the exhibitors. This year of course, we had to ensure the team was Covid safe, tested and double vaccinated. We were impressed to find that Deutsche Messe offered economical on-site testing for the return journey. This is the first time we have sent a team to Europe in over a year, so it’s great to be back in the swing of international events again.
