Sustainability policy
Effective date: 19 July 2023

Technical Manager Jamie McDonald is the responsible person for Sustainability at Press Red. We are committed to working towards improving our Environmental, Social and Governance offering.

We would like to commit to the following:

• Recycle as much waste material as possible, incorporating the likes of cardboard and plastic recycling at our warehouse.
• Move towards completely paperless, using online means where possible e.g. Dropbox, E-Sign for delivery notes etc
• Recycling or the correct disposal of audio visual equipment. At first, attempt the repair of any damaged/faulty equipment, if this is not possible use an approved WEEE recycling facility.
• Reduce our energy consumption. Lower thermostats, ensure heating is set on timers so that no energy is wasted when building is not occupied. Low energy lighting throughout the building, equipment shut down and not on standby when the building is not occupied.
• Paper products used are to be made from recycled paper.
• Research consumables with a lower environmental impact. Then implement their use throughout our building.
• Research our transport and logistics to see how we can lower our environmental impact. Avoiding unnecessary travel by using the likes of video conferencing where possible.
• Promoting our equality and diversity at work.
• Development and implementation of our Sustainability Plan
• Ensure that all staff have undertaken Sustainability Awareness Training.
• Research the possibilities of using low emission vehicles for our business
• Research the possibilities of ways we can support the local community.
• Strive to provide a wellness program for our staff.
